Holdings and investment positions

Ray Dalio's investment record is tied to Bridgewater's Pure Alpha and All Weather strategies. Their important exposures are often implemented with futures, swaps, currencies, and bonds, while Bridgewater's 13F reports show only U.S.-listed securities. Neither is a complete personal portfolio for Dalio.

Principal holdings and exposures

Global inflation-linked and nominal government bonds: Different maturities and countries provide exposure to changes in growth, inflation, and interest rates.

Global equities: Broad country and regional equity exposure participates in economic growth rather than relying on a few individual companies.

Commodities and gold: These assets can respond differently when inflation surprises to the upside.

Cash and short-rate instruments: Liquidity and financing instruments support derivatives and allow the portfolio to adjust risk.

Bridgewater 13F ETFs: Public filings have often shown broad U.S., international, and emerging-market equity ETFs, along with gold-related ETFs and individual shares. These positions belong to Bridgewater-managed accounts and change quarterly.

Pure Alpha long and short positions: Active macro views may offset or reverse the direction suggested by the long-only filing.

Current-status caveat

Dalio transferred control of Bridgewater and is no longer its chief investment officer. Current Bridgewater holdings should not automatically be described as his decisions or personal assets. All Weather is also a strategy concept, not one universally fixed ticker allocation.

How to read this list

The list identifies economic exposures rather than favorite companies. Risk balancing belongs in Decision Framework; a major macro call belongs in Best Investments.
